Snow Valley

Once you’ve made the decision to look for a property in Whistler, you need to decide whereabouts to live. Whistler has a number of different areas, all with their own look and feel.

If you are unfamiliar with the area it is best to speak to a knowledgeable Realtor who will show you the best options for your needs. The right neighbourhood can depend on the type of property you are looking for, the proximity to amenities, land, and a whole host of other factors.

You will be happy to know that Whistler has something for everyone, and you will always be able to find a home to suit your needs. We spoke to our agents to get a better idea of what each area has to offer:

Whistler North

Subdivisions in Whistler North include Emerald, Rainbow, Alpine, and White Gold. Properties here range from single-family detached houses and larger townhouses, to traditional ski cabins and modern mountain chalets.

The area is very family friendly and offers extensive green space, access to lakes and a huge range of recreational activities including golf, hiking, biking, and more. It is also home to Whistler’s only high school.

Whistler Centre

Whistler Centre is often considered to be an extension of the village with a number of popular subdivisions. There are tons of amenities with the proximity to the village, and with the majority of properties sitting above the valley floor, there are some incredible views.

Neighbourhoods here include Whistler Cay Heights, Brio, and Blueberry, with properties ranging from townhomes and single-family homes, to exquisite luxury homes.

Whistler Village and Benchlands

With Whistler Village and the Benchlands convenience is key. You are right in the heart of the action with direct access to the ski lifts, along with everything that the village has to offer.

Properties here mainly cater to short-term visitors, so most have restrictive covenants to ensure there are homes available to rent and enjoy. But, if you want to be at the heart of resort life in Whistler, the village is the ideal place for you.

Whistler South

Creekside is the hub of Whistler South, and the site of the first Whistler Village. Here you will find a unique mix of original rustic cabins set right next to luxurious and modern townhomes, condos, employee housing, timeshares and single-family dwellings.

This area is also home to a number of exclusive luxury neighbourhoods including Kadenwood and Bear Creek. The former of which even has its own private gondola!

Further south you will find Function Junction and Cheakamus Crossing. Function Junction is the industrial park and business hub of Whistler while Cheakamus Crossing has seen extensive development in recent years, boasting a large number of new homes.
