Inside Look at Whistler Food Trucks for Summer 2020

It’s summertime, and is there anything better than enjoying a little lakeside cuisine out of r food truck? If you answered no, then you’re in for a treat.

This year, Whistler Parks food truck season began on June 5th with adapted services in place so they could still serve you and adhere to COVID-19 regulations. During the summer, one of seven food trucks will be located at select Whistler park locations, including Lost Lake Park and Rainbow Park between 11 AM and 5 PM daily. See the locations here.

To get your stomach rumbling, here is a look at what food trucks you can expect to find this summer: Folie Crepes, Lucia Gelato, Teriyaki Boys, The Turmeric Trailer, Carte Diem, and Mountain Squeeze.

Summer Food Truck Schedule

From June 27^th to September 7^th you’ll be able to find food trucks almost every day, weather depending. However, one thing to note is that due to the toad migration at Lost Lake, this schedule may be interrupted.  This year the toad migration is anticipated to take place between July 27 and August 9.

Whistler Food Truck History

After a long-awaited call for food trucks in Whistler, we’re excited to say that the Summer of 2020 marks the fifth consecutive year for the Whistler Park’s food truck program! And locals, tourists and day-visitors couldn’t be happier about its continued return.

Ready to curb a craving? Here is a brief insight into what you can expect this summer:

Carte Diem

Carte Diem – Sieze the Souvlaki, serves a range of delicious Greek food including salads, wraps, and of course souvlaki. All food is made fresh and comes with tasty hummus and tzatziki dips.

When it’s not in Whistler you can find Carte Diem in Squamish and other areas along the Sea to Sky corridor.

Folie Crepes

Folie Crepes offers authentic French food with both sweet and savoury crepes as well as delicious local coffee. They have vegan and gluten-free options, and rotating weekly specials.

Lucia Gelato

There’s nothing better than a delicious gelato or sorbetto on a hot day, especially when it’s handcrafted in classic artisan Italian style! Lucia Gelato serves a wide variety of flavours made from the freshest ingredients to satisfy all taste buds.

Mountain Squeeze

Mountain Squeeze serves up a selection of creative cold-pressed fruit and vegetable juices, vegan smoothies, and tasty food options. Their goal is to provide convenient, healthy choices to help people achieve balance and health. Mountain Squeeze juice is cold-pressed, so all of the beneficial enzymes, minerals, and vitamins are still intact to help make you feel amazing.

Teriyaki Boys

Teriyaki Boys have been operating in Squamish since 2014 offering incredible Japanese street food in Squamish, Whistler, and Vancouver. With a range of rice bowls, stir fry and noodle dishes, this is a great place to get delicious hot food on the go.

The Turmeric Trailer

Owned and operated by a Michelin-star trained chef, The Turmeric Trailer specializes in healthy vegan and vegetarian dishes from all around the world. Meals include Buddha bowls, wraps, salads, vegan desserts and popsicles.

Whistler Cooks

Whistler Cooks has been one of Whistler’s go-to catering companies since 1999 and have now brought their delicious fare on the road as part of the food truck program. Enjoy an incredible range of meals cooked up by their culinary team and served up fresh.
