Q: Why did you move to Whistler?
A: I moved to Whistler for the skiing and the outdoors. I moved from Toronto and it was only supposed to be for six months, but that’s turned into 25 plus years now!
Q: What did you do when you first arrived?
A: I worked in retail initially and then did a whole marketing program for Mountain Heli Sports once I decided to stay. I had a background in marketing as well as development, so I started to work with two Realtors at Whistler Real Estate as their assistant and then became a Realtor.
Q: What advice would you give to someone looking to buy a property in Whistler?
A: Whistler is one of those places where people arrive and are astounded by the beauty, and the more time you spend the more you realise every season is special. When you’re buying property here it’s important to understand the reasons why you’re buying.
A lot of people buy for lifestyle and you should never discount any of the properties you find here. So, when you find a place you need to really work out what it means for you and your family down the road.
Q: What is your favourite thing about working with your clients?
A: They become friends! People come to Whistler for the lifestyle and we’re here to introduce them to that, and they quickly become very good friends.
Q: What is your favourite thing about the Whistler lifestyle?
A: I love the trail running in the summers! Even though I’ve been here for so many years I’ll still be running down a trail and have to stop and take a photo and send it to a friends back east to brag about how amazing Whistler is.

A: I do love trail running, but spending time with friends and family is also up there. Everybody who lives in Whistler is here for a reason, and often people don’t have family here so your friends become your family as well.
Q: What was it like raising a family in Whistler?
A: I have three boys who have all now moved away, but everybody grew up here and one of their favourite things is still coming home.
It was amazing to raise a family here and there is a great sense of community. The boys were able to do everything Whistler has to offer and truly appreciate the outdoors.
Q: What do you think you’d be if you weren’t a Realtor?
A: I think I’d still be involved in real estate in some capacity, whether in development or construction – real estate is in my blood.
Q: What makes you smile the most?
A: My family!
Q: What accomplishment do you consider to be the most significant in your career or life?
A: It has to be my three boys! I’m so proud of all of them for everything they’ve accomplished.
Q: Finally, in one sentence, why should people move to Whistler?
A: If you have any desire to be in the outdoors, Whistler is your backyard and you couldn’t make a better choice!
